Upgrade from 2010 to 2012 R2

Question
-
I'm currently running DPM 2010 and am looking to upgrade to 2012 R2. I've done some searching and I'm a bit unclear on the process - do I really need to go 2010 --> 2012 --> 2012 SP1 --> 2012 R2?

HI,
Yes, unfortunately there is no direct upgrade path from DPM 2010 to DPM 2012 R2, you need to upgrade to each intermediate version. My only question is what took you so long to decide - there have been many good new features added along the way and reliability has never been better.
Pay close attention to pre-requisites along the way and install latest update rollups and upgrade agents as you go. Make good backup of DPMDB between upgrades.
