  • Question

  • Hi,

    I use MS Project 2010, and i wonder if it is possible to change the % completed to weight cost instead of duration?

    An example:

    33%

    1 5d 100% $5000

    2 5d 0% $2500

    3 5d 0% $2500

    I want the %completed to turn out as 50%, as 50% of the cost is used.

  • Monica,

    Well, "no" and "yes". No, you can't change the existing Percent Complete field to do what you want, but yes, you can create a custom field to do what you want. Use the following formula. Don't forget to set the calculation for group and summary rows to "use formula".

    Text1=[Actual Cost]/[Cost]*100 & "%"

    Hope this helps.

  • Monica,

    Apparently you didn't customize a text field as I indicated in my response. Doing it as I suggested will definitely give the results you want.

    Try again.
