Notify affected user when analyst has been assigned for the first time RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I need a subscription for the class Incident, so that the affected user gets notified, when a analyst was assigned to his problem for the first time. There is no need that the affected user gets notified again, when the "assigned to" field is changed again.

I found a solution from 2012. After 6 years now is there a proper way to manage this problem?

  • Thanks for quik response. I understand the solution, but I would have thought there is now a solution to configure this criteria via console.

  • Hi,

fully understand what you mean, unfortunately there are not that many interested in developing a console based solution for stuff that is already solved in another way. I think the motivation here is not present when there is another way to do it.

One additional question: Have you used the Cireson Notify Analyst App (the free edition)? It seems that it also has workflows, targeted at end user, but I am not sure if it provides the flexibility you are looking for, I just haven't tested it.  Either way it is not bad idea to test it, maybe you will find some other helpful features there:
