  • Hi,

Is there any error message when this update installed failed? Is this failure occurs after system restart? Please try to boot into Safe Mode to install the update for test.

  • What is the difficulty you are having?

also, did you try installing it from a fresh boot?

some windows updates cannot be installed if some other process requires a restart.

  • I'm having problems too. Many of our University staff library computers are hanging at restart after applying an update, and I'm fairly sure it's this one.  Many systems were stuck at "Step 3 or 3. Configuring system - do not shut off your machine...".  I had to hardware set them to get them to start up. Many are starting up OK, but without the update. Some have the update (only IT personnel with Admin rights). Some systems let the users log in, but then get stuck at the "Welcome" screen.  This is getting ugly!  All systems seem to start up eventually without major problems, but so far only a handful (Admins) have actually got the update applied.
