Default Explorer View In Domain RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it true that the default view for all folders in explorer is details when a computer is joined to a domain? Ours seems to be and we don't have anything set in group policy or otherwise to make it that way.  Before the computer is joined to the domain, it is the normal views of icons, tiles, etc. depending on which folder you access.

  •  Hi,

Firstly, please verity if you have created the GPO refer to Folder Options Extension.

If not, and if the domain account is the new account for the system, the folder view is “Details" by default.

Meanwhile, please let us know whether all computers changed or only some of them.

On the other hand, you can refer to Change folder options to customize the settings.

    Hope this helps.
