Exchange 2010 traffic high by port 443 RRS feed

  • I'm experiencing a high traffic utilizations between our exchange servers 2010 these few days with port 443. we are not sure what it was replicating but it was using a very high traffic. Seems like all Exchange in our infra are using port 443 to this Exchange in China. Any help on this? Thanks.

  • Perhaps a one server is acting proxy for transactions to the other.  Please feel free to examine the IIS logs to see if you might get a clue about what the traffic is.

    In Exchange 2010 IIS logs on the CAS contain all user connections on port 443.

    Check the IIS log in IIS manager, follow these steps:




    Enter the address above in “This PC” of CAS, open an IIS log.

    Check the Fields in the log, such as: cs-method, s-port, and cs-username, like this:
