Hyper-V replication "Enabling Replication Failed" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there, I am trying to add an 2019 server Hyper-V host to replicate on a 2016 server Hyper-V replica server.

The 2016 is an replica server for 2012 Hyper-V Host and that is working fine. When I am enabling a VM on the 2019 server I always get "Enabling replication failed" and from the Event viewer

"The description for Event ID 32000 from source Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-VMMS cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.  If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.  The following information was included with the event:   Ares 1C930FCC-0E87-4EA2-810D-079A3EC93FAE %%2147778582 0x80048016  The locale specific resource for the desired message is not present".

The servers are all in the same domain and nslookup shows that all is fine DNS, the versions all are fine and I have been trying a lot of things that I have found on on internet but nothing works.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this.
