  • Question

  • upon shutdown, i get a message telling me that the task host scheduler is waiting to shut down.  it is the same problem discussed in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975777/en-us  there is a hotfix available, i know because i downloaded it before.  i had to reinstall, so i need to download the hotfix again, however, the only download available now is the one for an ia64 platform, and i am running an x64 platform.

Try it again. Now you can select all 3 platforms.

  • contact the MS support and request the fix. Next time, store the update on an external drive before installing Windows again.

  • Well I have SP1 installed and it did not cure the problem and when I try the Hotfix for my 32 bit it says it wasn't made for my system, even though I'm trying to install the x86 version
