New to SCCM, Question with setting up Distribution Point and Client Push RRS feed

    Hi 

    I'm hoping someone can give you some information and point me in the right websites I can learn of key area of SCCM setup.

    I'm new to SCCM 2012 R2, at work I'm been task to create second distribution point.

    Currently only one primary site and 1 distribution installed the SCCM server it self.

    I have to install another distribution point at remote site and install SCCM client on all the machines on that site. 

    What would have to do make sure that clients get updates/application from Distribution point not from the Primary site over WAN.

    I have already setup boundary group and understand I can select content location.

    Is there anything else I need to setup to ensure all clients are pointing to distrubtion point.

    Also what is the best method to install clients site with more than 100 computer? GPO? logon script?

    if anyone have any methods or script they used in the pass let me know.

    I prefer client push, but some people like logon scripts. You can check out the pros and cons of methods here https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682191.aspx

    If you configure the boundary and boundary groups, then the clients within the boundary will download content from the associated distribution point. I like to use IP ranges for my boundaries. You can read up on https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712679.aspx

    Also you should look at upgrading from SCCM 2012 R2 to SCCM Current Branch to take advantage of the latest features.
