Deploy VHD file Intune RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can I deploy a vhd containing files to a Windows 10 device using the Windows App(win32) type?  I have tested it and it works but is it supported?

    Many Thanks

    Colin

  • You'd have to give details on what you did. Just because something is not specifically stated as supported doesn't mean that you shouldn't do it. It could be that the use case has not been considered or tested. I'd say this is one of those cases.

  • Hello Colin,

Basically, Win32 app management is used to deploy Windows Classic (Win32) apps, such as .exe and .msi installer. I don't think it's officially supported for deploying VHD file.

Especially, please note that there is a size limit for each application, which is 8GB.

    Best regards,
