Reply adres of wrong incoming email in sharepoint RRS feed

  • We have successfully setup the incoming emails in sharepoint.

    Created libraries, mails are comming in.

    For example mails send to ABC@sharepoint.company.be are saved to library ABC.

    But when users send mails to ABCD@sharepoint.company.be, and this library is not setup, there is no notification or reply-email saying this email lib does not exist.

    Is there a solution?

  • not out of the box. If SharePoint picks up a mail message sent to an email address that does not match a library, it drops the mail.
