How do I monitor that a network drive mapping exists? RRS feed

  • Question

  • What I'd like to do is to put a monitor in place so that if certain mapped network drives disappear, they can be reestablished with a script. For instance, in this environment, drive W: is mapped to the DFS share \\police\shares\everyone. If, for some reason, the mapping fails or is deleted by the user, I want a script to kick in and reset the mapping.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You can do that with a script, for example http://contoso.se/blog/?p=129
