  • Question

  • Hello,

How can I remove Skype for Business from my start up?  I haven't made up my mind if I want to uninstall it but if so, how do I uninstall?  It does not appear in my list of items to uninstall.

    Thank you.

  • Skype fro Business comes as a part of Office. You can go to Add-Remove software and repair Office. Check out Skype for Business component, which will uninstall the client permanently

  • Hi,

You can remove Skype for Business basic version from your computer in just a few steps:

    1. In Skype for Business, choose  the tools icon and Tools > Option

    2. Choose Personal, then uncheck Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows and Start the app in the foreground.  Then choose OK.

    3. Choose File > Exit.

    4. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a program.

    5. Choose Skype for Business > Uninstall. If you don't see Skype for Business listed, then your version can't be uninstalled separately from Office.

    6. At the Ready to uninstall? box, choose Uninstall
