I am working with SBS2003. I haven't worked much with SBS2003 before. Here's my issue: We have a Linksys VPN Router and want to be able to VPN into the network. The SBS2003 server has two NICs - one is assigned an address of 192.168.1.100 and the other is setup with an IP of 192.168.16.2. The .100 NIC is plugged into the VPN router which goes out to the Internet. The .16.2 NIC goes to the local LAN. When I try to VPN in I cannot get to the local LAN. It's almost like it was originally configured this way on purpose so that the .100 side could be plugged directly into the Net and is almost like its firewalled. I also tried a test and plugged a PC directly into the .100 side and it can't see the network, either..... So my question is, can we just disable the .100 NIC and reconfigure the Linksys to the 192.168.16.2 side and then disable the second NIC? Or does SBS have something like ISA or routing which requires the second NIC? It seems like it would be fairly straightforward to "un-multihome" this but I just want to make sure there isn't some strange "gotcha" in SBS that would prevent me from doing so. Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks so much!!
