Project 2010 - Changing Font Size Removes Cell Formatting (e.g. Colour) - HELP! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a project within which different tasks are shaded differently in order to differentiate them. However, if I select any of the columns and change the font size, Project (2010) kindly removes all the formatting of the cells thereby leaving them all colourless.....Grrrrr.

The trouble is that any new columns or lines I add default to the Project standard font and size, but that's not necessarily what I want or need.

Any idea why this should happen and how to prevent it please?

    Thanks

  • I think I've solved it but will leave the original post on here in case others are facing similar issues and find it via a search.

Rather than using the Font setting in the ribbon bar I found a 'Text Styles' function when right-clicking on a column heading. Changing the font and size within this did not alter the formatting but did successfully change the font. Why this should be so I'll leave Mr Gates & Co to explain but it seems to have done the trick.
