Home Page Takeover RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I loaded IE9 another site had taken over my home page. It was called "My Search". I was able to get my home page back. But it seems to be running more slowly. This happened in both IE9 and Firefox. I was able to remove it from my add on in Firefox but do not know how to remove it from IE9 addon's. I checked the Firefox forum and it appears more people have had this happen.

  • Hi,

    I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Please refer to this: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/pc_ie_intro

    2. You can run Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) to troubleshoot the issue.

        1. Open Start Menu, then click all programs, select Accessories, open the  system tools;

        2. Right-click Internet Explorer(No Add-ons), run as Administrator.

    3. Reset Internet Explorer settings and see how it works.

    Hope this helps.

I Googled the process and finally discovered it was related to this Utility Chest. I looked at "uninstall a program" and there it was I uninstalled it deleted the folder in Program files and ran my Kaspersky. Thank You for the help!
