SharePoint Site Backup and Restore RRS feed

  • Question

  • Heya,

    I am new to sharepoint and I run into problem almost anything and everything I do in SharePoint.

    Recently I was given a site backup to resotore on to the dev environment.

    So I firstly created an Application and then Created Top Level site.

    And then I ran the following script.

    @SET STSADM="c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin\stsadm.exe"

    @SET BACKUPF="AAASite.bak"

    @SET SITEU="http://mossdev001:8711"

    %STSADM% -o restore -url %SITEU% -filename %BACKUPF% -overwrite

    The site got restored successfully but when browsing the site I noticed the url was pointing to a UAT Server. Spoke to one of the developers and he said the URLs are not relative paths thats why it was going to the UAT server.  Could someone let me know how to make url relatve after restoring the site?
