could someone tell me if windows xp only recognizes 3GB of ram memory??????? thanks in advance RRS feed

  • I was told that windows xp  pro sp3 can only use 3GB of ram memory. Is this true??????

    Only one person told me this, so I thought you folks should be able to help me with this.

  • If you'd like english....

    All 32 bit version of Windows are limited to 3GB of memory. 64 bit version however will support 4+. Googling your question will give you exact numbers. If you are unsure of which version you have, it's probably 32 bit but you can find out in the System Properties.

  • Right click on My Computer in start menu.. if it does not read 64 after the windows version,,then it`s a 32 bit os.
