Cannot Uninstall DPM Protection Agents For Servers That Do Not Exist RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cannot uninstall agents for servers that died on our network. I have several servers in the last several months that hard failed and are not available to be able to "properly" uninstall the agents. Some of the servers were removed from Active Directory as well. How do I force the DPM 2007 console to remove the agents and free up the licensing on both the primary DPM server and the Secondary DPM server that is backing up the primary DPM server? I cannot find a solution for this. I'm not very familiar with powershell so if there is some documentation on how to work with the powershell options to make the above possible it would be appreciated.

  • Hi,

i don't know if that cmdlet is available in DPM 2007 as it is implemented in 2010 but you should launch the DPM Shell and use the : Remove-ProductionServer.ps1 script.
