Application Installation

    Question

  • Hi All,

    I have 1 Hyper-V host on which around 40 machines are deployed, I want to install an application from my Hyper-V hosts, to all the vm's deployed in this hosts.

    Can someone provide me powershell script for the same.

    What you are trying to do on VMs is the same as physical machines.

    And I suppose you could post in powershell forum for better help:

  • The Repository is a searchable database of pre-written scripts that you may be able to adapt to suit your needs.  It might not have exactly what you need, but it may have something similar which you could then modify to your needs.

    As noted by Leo, it would be the same as though you were installing the application to other physical machines - the process would be no different when installing to virtual machines.  The first thing you need to do is determine how to script the installation.  If the installation can be done only via a GUI, then you will not be able to do it with script.
