FIM 2010 R2 Synchronize HR Application (txt csv file) to AD RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have HR Appliction and AD, and plan to sync data profile from HR Application (txt csv file) to AD. The goal is data user profile from HR Application as anchor, and update the attribute AD user, in the end the Sys Admin no needed again to update attribute user manually via ADUC, data profile will sync and update automatically by FIM.

Can I use FIM 2010 R2 to do that? I follow this guide, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee534902(v=ws.10) but this is only change the object user in the specific OU(for example FIM Object), while currently my object user are reside in many OU.

    Please advise.

    Regards,

Answers

  • Synchronizing and maintaining data across different systems with different source (i.e. HR systems or files like CSV) is exactly what FIM does. So the short answer is yes.

You may be able to leverage Synchronization Rules in the FIM Portal to calculate OU placements for your users.
