About SharePoint Foundation License Cost RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I know SharePoint Foundation is free tool, we just need to download and use it. But one thing wants to know if we use SHAREPOINT foundation as DMS and used SharePoint Foundation Features so can we sell it to other companies. Means there would not be any license required of SharePoint on our side as well as company side.

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,

  • The only reason you can install SharePoint foundation is because a Windows Server license and CALS have been purchased.

So, you should be able to sell your solution addon (not SharePoint because you dont on it) and because client must run on Windows Server and customer must purchase a windows license. However, the best answer is to talk with a licensing expert.  Actually talk to several and see if you can get the same answer.
