Hidden Files Can Not be hidden in Vista RRS feed

    I can not hide certain files that I think are saved -$Word files on my computer even after selecting the hide option in the folder options tab and after doing a shutdown and reboot.

     

    I will appreciate any help with this.

    To be more specific, in my documents I show two files with titles like RTMO11441.$$$ that can not be hidden and any time I open a word file such as Letter a new Word file shows up when I close the document with the title -$etter.

     

    Under folder options I have do not show hidden files selected and have clicked apply and ok.

     

    Any suggestions?

    I have isolated the problem to the Documents folder. This is the only folder where I have the problem with hidden files. Should I rename this folder or copy and paste all documents to a new folder then delete the documents folder and then rename the new folder and call it Documents? I'm really not sure.
