  • Question

  • Hi,

How can we prevent a Resource group (Project Security Group) from viewing the Project Risks pages?

    Thanks

  • WLID1966,

It depends on whether you are trying to do this on one list or for all projects.

    • If it is just one list (or a small number), you can control that by going to that specific list, stop inheritance, and then removing the specific security group.
    • If you want to do this across all or many project sites, then you will have to look at your project site provisioning settings and whether you are automatically syncing permissions between project plan and project site.
      • if you are automatically syncing, then you will control that based on the following rules.
        • Project managers who have published a project or who have Save Project permissions on a project are added to the Project Managers (Microsoft Project Server) site group.
        • Team members with assignments in a project are added to the Team members (Microsoft Project Server) site group.
        • Other Project Server users who have View Project Site permission on a project are added to the Readers (Microsoft Project Server) site group.
      • If you are not automatically syncing, then you can add /remove whichever groups you want.
