Scope of GPO by Security Filtering , strange behaviour

  • Dear Members,

    I have a strange problem:

In a Server 2012R2 environment with Active Directory, I want to deploy a Drive mapping to a usergroup via GPO.

If I set the scope for that GPO, called “Mappings für interne Benutzer” by security Filtering to “Authenticated Users” everything works fine.

But that’s not what I want. I want this GPO for the Universal Group “Interne Benutzer”

I use Group Policy Modeling to verify if anything is fine when I set the scope by security filtering to “Interne Benutzer”.

I determined a User, which is member of the Universal Group “Dozenten”, which is a member of “Interne Benutzer”.

By the Report, the GPO shut be used.

BUT: If I log in as the tested user on the tested PC the policy is not listed, when I run “gpresult /R”

Does anyone know, what here could happened?

    Thank you for your help,

    Axel Bredow
