Document Name, Last Person Who Edited, and Link to Document in SharePoint 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • With the help of Michael Han6 I was able to create the following workflow:

Comments: Tracks additions by four team members then emails link to completed spreadsheet to: DVM@contoso.com

    Stage: Stage 1
If Current Item:StatusDVM (Hidden) not equals Current Item: StatusDVM

      If Current Item:StatusDVM equals 1
        Email joe@email.com

             Else
       If Current Item:StatusDVM equals 2
        Email bill@email.com

       Else
        If Current Item:StatusDVM equals 3
         Email kate@email.com
        Else
         If Current Item:StatusDVM equals 4
          Email mary@email.com

         Else
                 If Current Item:StatusDVM equals 5
           Email group@mail.com

then Update item in Current Item

    Transition to stage
     Go to End of Workflow

The issue I'm having is that the email generated by the system has the document name, but no link to it. I've chosen several different lookup values but haven't been able to get what I want which is:

Document Name, Last Person Who Edited, and Link to Document.

    Any ideas???

  • Hi,

Just need to add an action called "Set Workflow Variable" like below":

    Then edit your email action:

Note: You should manually add "http://{URL of  webapplciation}" like above picture.

[%Variable: document URL%] will display value as below, which is not including the web URL, so you need to manually add your web URL.
