  • Question

  • Technet,

I was wondering if there is a License management pack that alerts on any license about to expire on windows servers or perhaps a KMS management pack?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

The KMS Management Pack collects data from the event logs of defined KMS hosts, and monitors those hosts for availability. This monitoring provides visibility into the activation traffic and the license status of volume activation clients on the network.

And the management pack is for SCOM 2007, to apply it to SCOM 2012, please follow the link below:

In addition, you also can create custom monitor by monitor the events when license expire.

    Hope this helps

    Regards,

    Yan

  • Hi Yan,

"In addition, you also can create custom monitor by monitor the events when license expire."

-- What are the exact Event ID to use in the custom monitor?

-- Do the Event ID needs o be monitored on the Server itself or on the KMS Server?
