  • Question

  • I have a new fresh copy of Windows 7 ultimate (Technet version) installed. I can right click and go to gadgets and the gadgets window opens BUT the gadgets window shows no gadgets. If i download a gadget it also does not show in the gadget window.

I have UAC at second highest level and i have tried uninstalling gadgets and reinstalling gadgets.

    Thanks

  • Hi Steven,

    Thank you for posting here.

Given current problem. I have following suggestions:

    1.       Temporarily disable or remove security software and reboot the computer to test the issue.

    2.       Take following steps to register vbscript.

    1)       Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.

    2)       Type the following command and press ENTER:

    regsvr32 vbscript.dll

    3)       You should see the following message:

    DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.

    4)       Restart the computer to test the issue.

    Does it work?

    Thanks.
