Windows update failed unable to install patch .msu file

    Question

  • Hi,

I am using Windows 10 1511, i am trying to install kb4013198 march update while running .msu it throws an error "the update is not applicable for your computer” but the update is applicable and download correctly x64 and version 1511.

While extracting the .Cab file and using Dism.exe commandline

    DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\Test\Windows10.0-KB4013198-x64.cab

it works and patch is getting installed any reason why it fails on Win10, not only this patch all .msu patches only on newly build machines.

Checked the OS is activated successfully.

    Thanks & Regards,
