  • Question

  • I have a windows 7 Laptop. For some reason most of my applications  do not show on control panel. I have run CCleaner and Microsoft security essentials. What do I do?

  • Can you be more specific whether control panel icons are missing or installed programs are missing?

    If it's installed programs,

Open the Control panel > Programs and Features

Click installed on and uncheck if anything checked.

Clear all the filters. Your installed programs will be listed.

  • CCleaner is some what questionable but it also is one the best cleaners out there simply because sometimes you can just clean up way to much.

do not be fooled by programs offering optimizations and memory management.

Microsoft is highly advanced in what they do and there is a disk clean-up built into Windows.

  • Hi,

Did you mean they don't show in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features path?

If yes, did you use these program normally? Could you let us know which program have this symptom?

Did you want to uninstall them?
