  • I am sending email to new employee's manager when new employee is created. Now I am getting this kind of postprocessingerror

    WorkflowInstance '78ba16b5-9f5d-4fad-a8a3-1070f1836e6e' could not resolve mail message in activity 'authenticationGateActivity2.SendMail'. Mail was not sent. 
    

    The problem is that the new employee has a manager when the new employee is created. The manager comes from the same HR-data like the employee itself.

    The workflow works fine when I run it againt employee allready created so the problem occures only when a new employee is created.

    I was wondering that is the manager attribute populated or set somehow later than the actual employee is created. Then the workflow runs and the manager has not been populated yet. Might that be a problem?

  • Reference attribute population from sync engine exports is a multi-step process. Check the MA capability NoReferenceValuesInFirstExport to know how / why it works this ways.
