Gateway Out Of Memory RRS feed

  • We are getting intermittent High Priority alerts from our evaluation ATA server.   They say

    Gateway Out Of Memory

    Gateway, DCxxx, is not working due to insufficient memory resources.

    One of our DCs is physical and the other virtual.  Both have 8GB RAM.  We have seen the alerts on both.  Here are the times of day and which one it is.

    8:30pm (virtual)

    10:37am (physical)

    5:25pm (physical)

    6:04am (physical)

    4:52am (virtual)

    5:27am (physical)

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    In the following situation you can do the following actions:

    • Troubleshoot the ATA with the relevant counters under Microsoft ATA Gateway\* and make sure that you've have running the correct threshold.
      Under Microsoft ATA Gateway Updater\* there's a specific counters for Domain Controllers resources so you need to find your issue there.

    • Make sure that you've run the ATA Capacity Planning and have the correct resources

  • I apologize. I do not have experience with Performance Monitor.  Are there more detailed steps I should be looking at?  And should I run PM when i'm experiencing the issue, OR when things are normal (no out of memory errors)?
