Skype screen sharing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello
I have Skype for business and my client has Skype Standard
Can I talk to him on Skype and especially - share my screen
And allow both the client and me to edit the font during the conversation?

Will it work even if the customer has Skype personal rather than Skype for business?

  • You can communicate from Skype for Business to Skype Consumer, but I don't believe you can share screens. Just IM, presence, and video calls.

Here is the TechNet for configuring the SfB to Skype connection: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn705313.aspx

  • Thanks
In standard Skype between 2 people - can I share a screen?
    Is screen sharing high quality?
If not, what other service does Microsoft have with the Office 365 suite
With whom I can share a screen with a private client?

  • Is there a possibility to define the client as a user / employee in the business
Then he'll have access to Skype
    So you can share screens
    It is possible?

  • Hi,

If you need to use Skype for business for communicating with your client, ask your client to install Skype for business client in his/her desktop.

If your Skype is federated on both sides you can add his company sip address in your Skype for business and start sharing the information.

    Thanks
