Emails being moved from Inbox to Deleted Items RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have one user on Exchange 2003 who has emails moved from the Inbox to his Deleted Items folder. It happens randomly, usually every few days. When it happens, a block of emails from the previous 4-5 days will get moved from the Inbox to the Deleted Items folder. I have checked rules, etc. and that appears to be fine.

It sounds like the same issue as described in this post:

Email moved from inbox to deleted items automatically

However, I am running Exchange 2003 and not 2007 or 2010. Is there a way to check the "AutomateProcessing" setting on Exchange 2003?

I also recently installed Exchange 2010, but so far I have not moved anything to this server. It is sitting idle. I run the "Get-CalendarProcessing user | fl" and the "AutomateProcessing" value is set to "AutoUpdate", but I don't know if that is accurate since the mailbox is still on Exchange 2003.

  • Hello,

There should not be related to the AutomateProcessing.

Please check your system policy settings.

And check if there is any outlook rule.

I suggest you do it as these suggestion in the thread you provided.

Hi, there are no system policies present. There are also no rules present.

  • I have faced this issue one time. Have you checked MFCMapi that any corrupted rules exist
