DVD Drive not recognizing a legit DVD RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm tyring to read a DVD in my computer.  For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to notice that the DVD is inserted.  It seems to be this specific DVD, as I can read any other DVD perfectly fine; however, this one doesn't seem to want to be read.

I've got the latest firmware, and the DVD can be read in other computers, and I'm 99% sure it's not a drive issue.  Anyone know of anything that I could do to read this disc?

  • Hi,

According to your description, this should be not a operating system related issue. This problem may be caused by some physical fault in DVD surface that cannot be ignored by the involved CD/DVD drive.

As the workaround, you may try to duplicate this disk using another computer, then try the copy in this computer.

    Hope it helps!
