Explorer Window View Settings with Locked Profile RRS feed

  • Question

  • In my SteadyState user profile, I have positioned column widths and window placement for certain things. When I lock the profile and login to that user, all those settings are ignored. If I unlock the profile and relogin, the settings are there again. It appears that for some reason when the temporary profile is created the registry key ShellNoRoam is not copied into the temporary profile. Is there a way around this?

  • Hi,

We are unable to change this feature. In Windows SteadyState, if we lock a user profile, it will prevent the user from permanent changes. To realize this feature, Windows SteadyState has cached the profile, it will restore any changes you made.
