App-v 5.0 in Vista environment, SCCM 2012 in the pipeline

Question

Hi,
We have a Vista desktop environment which we will migrate in the near future to Windows 8 with SCCM 2012 OS-deployments.
At this moment though, we have SCCM 2007 (SCCM 2012 in the pipeline). We would like to deploy already App-v 5 packages to clients/desktops but SCCM 2012 is not there yet.
Please advise what best practises would be (setup a management server for App-v now, then migrate to SCCM 2012)

Note that App-V 5 does not support Windows Vista: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/library/jj713426.aspx.
You would need to go with App-V 4.6 SP2 on Windows Vista and migrate to App-V 5 after moving to Windows 8.

You could also choose to deploy your App-V applications in standalone mode. Using SCCM 2007 to deploy the App-V Created MSI's to your App-V Clients.
