  • The engine will auto-update; every 30 minutes I think.

    In the Application Event log, you should events for FIPFS - ID 7003 when it's scheduled; IDs 6030, 6031, 6033, 6044 when it DL's updates; IDs 6023, 6024 when it's up to date.

    When Anti-malware is enabled, Exchange automatically checks for engine and definition updates every 30 minutes. If engine updates were downloaded successfully, you will see an Event ID 6033 in the Application Event log. If the engine updates fail, you will see an Event ID 6027.
