SQL licensing in DPM 2012 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've setup a new virtual dpm 2012 r2-server with a locally installed sql 2008 r2.

Prior to the DPM-setup, i installed SQL-server in Evaluation mode.

during DPM-setup in the precheck phase, i believe i was "warned" that SQL was running in Eval-mode, but DPM would upgrade it during setup. If it was a remote instance I'd had to do it manually.

But in SQL mgmt studio in the About-prompt, it still shows 180 days to expiration.

We do have SA with microsoft but since a System Center Datacenter covers SQL-servers dedicated to System Center, i thought i shouldnt have to use a regular SQL Standard key.

    What am i doing wrong?
