Local Area Connection 2 adapter not installed

  • My PC - Windows 7 - 32 bit - was working just fine... then, it was not...

I don't think that I'd rebooted... don't remember... anyway, it just

stopped being connected to the internet.

I used "Windows Network Diagnostics" and just got "there might be a
problem with the drive for the Local Area Connection 2 Adapter...."

None of the repair features/options worked.

When I checked Device Manager, there was no LAN installed.

I did a google for the driver (I don't know a whole lot about
fixing computers or what's in them :) and couldn't find
    anything... Please help.    Karen
