schedule a copy of a drive to a network storage device

  • Hi all,

I have done some reading and just keep getting only more confused. I have no knowledge of windows scripting, but I still have to do this as there is no one else that can here...

I am trying to create a copy of an entire drive (logical drive D:) on a SBS 2011 machine, to a network storage drive. The key here is that the copy is not compressed or a windows bak file or anything like that. It needs to be the same like if I right-clicked the entire drive and pasted it somewhere else.

I need to use the scheduler, so it needs to be a script I presume. I have been trying some stuff with xcopy but I don't think it will do. The other problem is that the network storage drive requires a login.

Any help will be much appreciated!!!
