DPM 2012 R2 permanent non expiring backup on tape RRS feed

• Question

• Hello

I am trying to do a full backup pf a PG to a tape for permanent backup. A am able to do a long term recovery point backup. But the tape is then not a "permanent backup" but as per the policy good for two months. So after two months the DPM would probably say that the tape is now expired and the report would say we can use it again. We are using a tape library.
A suitable solution would be:

1) Extend the expiration to say 10 years.
2) Remove the tape from DPM with an option that in case we would need the data we can recover it.
3) Just saying to the DPM not to use the tapes in the future.

Thank you
best regards
