  • Hi! I have an error when I run de Intel detection tool, I attached the logs of Windows.

    In others PC's the program runs Ok but in my laptop not. I don't know if this a problem of the framework.

  • Look at Intel's latest Critical Firmware Update (Intel-SA-00086) article for some idea.

    Besides, when your run DiscoveryTool, I suggest to extract all files, then run as administrator.

  • I'm already run the tool as administrator and nothing, it's a bit strange because a few days ago the program worked correctly.

  • I found this info: How to resolve a System.Security.Principal.IdentityNotMappedException?
    Is this a domain admin? Can you try a different local admin account?

    I were starting to think that the problem is my computer but probably is an update error. I run Win 10 1709 Spanish and I have all updates installed. Thanks you for share.

  • I can reproduce the error with the download from Teemo Tang.
    But as I am 100% sure that the Intel tool ran successfully on the same system some weeks ago, I searched for the files I downloaded back then. 
    And the old downloaded tool still works!
    The zip contains different files (date 16 november 2017),
    and the directory "SA00086_Windows\DiscoveryTool" from the current dowload only contains one file, the old folder contains additional 15 more files and multiple subfolders.

    So you should contact Intel, the current version of the tool does not work.

  • Yes you are right I also were secure of it. The problem is the new version of the tool, I ran the old version and works ok.

    If someone wants the previous version I can upload it and share it.

    I think Intel forget to uploadd all the files in the last version.

  • is the error causing you [problems] or just nagging you cause it could be missing hardware your laptop don't have cause of space concerns being a laptop is smaller then a desktop

  • Please share old version of the tool. Because new one is broken especially to hide something what we should not know. I remember that in the old version were much more files inside, not stupid few exes, and it was works fine.
