I created a SharePoint list and gave access to it with just myself and another person. I spent 4 days creating it. Whoever created the site and was adding users put a lot of people directly into the site with specific privileges and not into
groups. I was listed with "full control" at the site level and am a member of the "owners" group. When I removed myself from the permissions at the site level, I no longer had access to the SharePoint list. Couldn't see it, couldn't do anything to it.
Can anyone explain the reason for this? I am still a user on the site with full control. I'm trying to contact the site owner to fix this - but he didn't even have an ID into the site. Adding us back in at the site level did not resolve the
issue.
