Replication failed between Server 2008 SBS and Server 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our customer has a Virtual Server 2008 SBS server, the server this was running on HyperV, the physical server failed and we started up the replicated server on a second HyperV server.

Because this was the only DC in the environment I created a second DC on Server 2016, Active Directory replication is not working between these two servers, when the SBS is restarted Netlogin is in a paused state.

I have found the following information but I want to be able to repair the server rather than remove it from the domain, is this possible? The error I am getting is because the server has been restored.
