MAP V9.0 setup failed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to install the MAP toolkit on a SBS 2008 server but the setup fails with the following error:

Setup failed to update the product. Fix the issue and run setup again. For more information, review the setup log file.

Where can I find the log file?

    Thx

    Filip

  • This seems to be a problem with the MSI installer when installing on Windows Vista / Server 2008. The workaround at this time is to install MAP on Windows 7 SP1 / Server 2008 R2 SP1 or newer.

  • I am getting the same error, and looking in the logs, seems to show that the sql package is not downloading correctly.

I can't find the error you have though.

(I had to break the weblinks because MS hasn't verified my account yet. Sorry.)
