0x8007202f Error when enabling forward RRS feed

  • Question

  • Here is my situation:

Domain A: Windows 2003 DC with Exchange 2003

    Domain B: Windows 2008 R2 DC with Exchange 2010

Domains have a two way trust, which works perfect for file permissions.

Users from Domain A will have a new account in Domain B.
New mailboxes are created in Exchange 2010 in Domain B.
Permissions are set on a test mailbox from Domain B user on a Domain A account.

When I try to set a forward on the Domain A mailbox to the Domain B mailbox I get:

    A constraint violation occurred.

    Facility: LDAP provider
    ID no: 8007202f
    Microsoft Active Directory Exchange extension.

Users in Domain A and B will have the same domain extensions (domain.com)

    Any ideas or options?

  • Hi,
You can only choose a recipient in the same ORG when configuring forwarding.

    Update: See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281926

  • Thanks! I didn't knew that.

A mail enabled contact would be in place if the recipients in the new domain have a new mail extension (e.g. Domain A abc.com and in Domain B xyz.com) or is there a way to configure a mail enabled contact that will forward mail from Domain A with abc.com to a user in Domain B with also abc.com as mail extension?

The users who are migrating (or actually moving) to the new Domain will have the same mail extensions.

  • The mail extensio means the EMail SMTP address, right?

If this is the case, then I'd suggest you use relay between two forests. Refer to:

    Hope it is helpful.
