How to export data out of APS/PDW to a flat file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi ,

I am looking for a solution to export SQL Server PDW table data in APS to a flat file (CSV,XLSX,txt etc) .From Microsoft online documentation it is given that bcp is used to load PDW not to export out of PDW.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks

    Pradeep

  • I am looking for tools that are compatible with SQL Server PDW,

The link posted include CREATE REMOTE TABLE (CRTAS) which is a PDW command.

If you cannot use CRTAS, perhaps because you do not have a SQL Server available, than consider using SSIS instead.

  • Hi Sam,

    Thank you for the response.

I am looking for tools that are compatible with SQL Server PDW, cause PDW is entirely different ball game.

    Thanks
