AD Login Issues with Other OS RRS feed

  • Hi Guys,

    I would like to share one information on my existing environment, i had installed one role on my DC and didn't restart it, but after two days they are unable to connect.

  • I have created one more ADC in the domain what all roles i needs to install on it.

  • Hi SpecialistmR.G,

    Based on my knowlegde,  if only the ADC and the primarly all heathy, the AD replication is fine, and your environment shouldn't be affected. You could first add the server to the domain. After that you could log on as domain adminstrator and prompt to  be the domain controller.

  • Hi,

    In addition, please also check the event viewer if there's error/warning, that may indicate the cause.

    And you could user network monitor to check the connectivity between this problematic machine and DC server

  • But i need a new ADC in the environment, does that creates any kind of login issues for the mac users?????

    Also suggest me which credentials should i use to promote my ADC server as domain controller.

    - Domain Administrator 

    - Local Administrator

    What role? ADC, AD DS

    Connect in what way? LAN

    What happens when you try? eRROR on client machines (not able to connect).
