Forefront April 2010 update causes slow Internet Explorer load times RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a problem with Forefront running on Windows 2003 R2 in a Terminal Services/XenApp environment running the Forefront  April 2010 update (KB979536).

Prior to installing the April 2010 Forefront update, IE8 would load the internal intranet page in a couple of seconds and browse subsequent pages without delay.  After installing the April 2010 update, IE load times are out to 20-30 seconds and any subsequent navigation to other pages (whether it be internal or external) also takes 20-30 seconds.

When the Forefront services are stopped, IE load times return to normal.

IE is configured to use an wpad configuration script and automatic detect proxy is turned off.  Forefront is reporting the following version numbers

    Client – 1.5.1981

    Engine – 1.1.5802

    AV & Spyware definition – 1.83.750.0

    Cheers

    Gavin

  • I think it's better to call CSS to resolve your problem ASAP.
